Glossy PPT written for A-Level Coastal Environment topic, but could be used for IGCSE Coasts topic as well. PPT has 26 slides and covers and includes the following: A video showing ‘before and after’ marine erosion examples taken from the 12 Apostles landforms in Australia The erosion processes that shape coastlines: Hydraulic Action, Abrasion, Attrition, Solution and Cavitation Each erosion type features a written description plus an embedded video explaining the erosion type. Last slide has a Sketch task where students have to sketch the main types of marine erosion in action. The content of the PPT could easily be used to generate a work sheet for the students.

The PPT focuses on the environmental impacts of energy production, use and transport. Detailed breakdown of the PPT: -the environmental impacts of renewable sources such as wind and HEP power the environmental impacts of non-renewable sources such as fossil fuels, fracking etc the environmental impact of nuclear power with a short case study on Chernobyl and the local, regional and continental scale impacts of this event the environmental impacts of energy transport, including a short case study of the Exxon Valdez incident the environmental impacts of energy production: local and regiona and globall. This includes information about acid rain and wet and dry deposition, and global warming caused by the enhanced greenhouse effect. The final slide includes two exam style questions for the students to attempt. There is enough material here for 2 lessons.
