Included in this pack are 6 revision booklets. One for each of the core AS Geography Topics: Hyrdology and Fluvial Geomorphology Atmosphere and Weather Rocks and Weathering Population Migration Settlement dynamics Each booklet is around 15 pages and includes short/extended response questions that summarise the majority of the content. These booklets are handy revision aides and topic summaries.

Included in this pack is a Globalisation unit of work used with a Year 7 Global Perspectives class. There is enough material here for 5-6 lessons, and more if you chose to do the assignment task in-class. The PPT includes information, tasks, discussion starters, and formative and summative assignments. Task sheet with source based questions Infographic Task on a global sporting event Globalisation and Gaming Tasksheet including information about the growth of gaming as a global phenomenon, including source based information and a speech writing task (this could easily be adapted to a debate/or report writing task). I used these resources with my Year 8 GP class. There is a good variety of task and information that could be uses as is, or adapted to your needs.

Pack includes a neat 10 slide PPT and an accompanying task sheet covering an introduction to Transnational Corporations (TNC’s). Tasksheet includes a key word definition task and a positive and negative sorting activity. This was a comfortable 45 minute lesson for a Year 8 GP class.

This pack contains material for 2 lessons that I used with a Year 7 History class studying medical history. Pack includes: Lesson 1 - Medieval Medicine. PPT contains information about: theories that caused illness, the four humours, how illness was investigated, how the sick were treated/cured, barber surgeons. Task sheet included with questions that can be answers using the PPT, or used for class discussion. Lesson 2 - Crime and Punishment. 2 PPTs contain the following: medieval crimes and how they were dealt with, the various punishments and trails (trail by water, trial by fire, trial by combat etc), who kept the peace, comparison with punishments used in modern society. Task sheet included. The material here can be used as is, or developed further into a unit of work.

The pack includes a PPT covering the events of the Peasant Revolt in 1391. The PPT has: information about the event key word defintions the causes of the revolt the events of the rebellion The PPT uses “comic strip” styles to convey the story in a colourful, engaging manner. Also included is a source based assessment task (including a modified task for students will different learning needs). This could be used as a task following the PPT, or as an end of topic summative task. The contents of the PPT could be used to generate discussion, further task sheets, etc.

I used this PPT in an IGCSE class studying Topic 1.3 Migration. The 21 slide PPT covers the following content: the positive impacts of migration on the country of origin the negative impacts of migration on the country of origin the positive impacts of migration on the destination country the negative impacts of migration on the destination country the positve and negative impacts on the migrants themselves The last three slides contain exam style questions. I have also included an extra task sheet with question/answer tasks on media stories relating to the difficulties faced by migrants in destination countries. The content of the PPT could be used to generate further task sheets etc.

I used this in an A Level Geography class studying the Human Geography Core topic of Settlement Dynamics. This could also be used in an IGCSE class studying urban environments. I used this PPT in an A-Level Geography class studying the Advanced Human Geography Topic of Global Interdependence. This lesson focussed on the Life Cycle Model of Tourism. PPT includes: syllabus links (13.3) definition for Carrying Capacity (in relation to tourism) a diagram of the Life Cycle Model of Tourism and brief introduction of the model each stage of the model explained - exploration, involvement, development, consolidation, stagnation and the possible variations in the final phase Blackpool case study example, showing how this location went through the different stages of the model the positives and negatives of the model the final slide has a past exam question task. The content of this PPT could be used to generate task sheets etc. This easily filled a 60 minute lesson.

This resource includes 2 lessons that I developed for a lower secondary GP class studying Globalisation These 2 lessons were used to introduce the topic. This pack include the task sheets and the information that I distributed to the students. Lesson 1: What is Globalisation Tasksheet includes definitions, summary writing task, Source Study, and topic reflection questions. Lesson 2-3: Causes of Globalisation Tasksheet includes source task (ie, how is this photo an example of globalisation), 200 word descriptive writing task using source material.

This pack includes the resources I developed for a KS3 History class studying Knights. The pack includes: PPT coving the following content: what is a knight, how to become a knight, weapons, armous, chivalry, and heraldry. Worksheet on labelling the knights armour Project task sheet where the students design their own coat of arms. The students really enjoys this topic. There is enough material here for a 1-2 lessons.

I have included the material I used with a KS3 History class studying the Black Death. There are 2 PPT’s including Information about the Black Death, its causes and symptoms, how it spread and attempts to treat it. I have includes a Make Your Own Mask project task with instructions and templates that the students can use to make their own mask in a creative, practical task.

This resource covers the Growth in International Tourism sub-topic in the Global Interdependence topic for A Level Geography. This resource can also be adapted to use in a IGCSE/GCSE class studying tourism and the reasons for growth in international tourism. The PPT focuses on the environmental impacts of energy production, use and transport.
