Here is a full lesson on practical magnet experiment: making magnetic slime. Aimed at KS3 but can be adapted to KS2 by deleting the more detailed slides. It includes information about what magnets are, properties of magnets, practical applications of magnets. Also includes a summary quiz for students to complete and a task to do in notebooks after the practical experiment. It’s such a fun way to help students consolidate information about magnets. I like to print ‘two to a page’ which gives them an A5, smaller version. These make a great classroom display for your reading area / topic area in class, especially if you click ‘print to A3’. They’re also good if you print them smaller (i.e. 6 to a page) so that the students can then annotate them i.e. writing specific descriptions next to the pictures.
