This interactive PowerPoint and 5 lesson plans conclude this unit about stories with Familiar Settings based on the Year 2 National Curriculum scheme of work. This week, children will continue to focus on ‘Gorilla’ by Anthony Browne, ‘The Tiger Who Came to Tea’ by Judith Kerr as well as the well-known story ‘There’s No Such Thing As A Dragon’ by Jack Kent. Using these stories, they will begin to develop ideas, plan and write their own stories using the character that they created at the end of week 1.
