A tried-and-tested mock paper for the Figure Classification portion of the CAT 4 test. This comes under the Non-Verbal Reasoning battery which assesses students thinking with shape.

Figure classification questions involve finding the similarities in the first three figures given. Students must decide which out of the five other figures given goes with them.

This would be suitable for students from Level A-G. I have used this paper to support many tutoring students in preparation for their CAT 4 exams.

This is an original mock paper that I have designed to simulate the question format and style of this part of the CAT 4 test.

This mock paper also simulates the timed conditions of the CAT 4 test - 12 questions in 5 minutes, so 25 seconds per question.

This can be used to assess difficulties with certain question types e.g. patterns, number of shapes, rotation etc. It can also be used to assess accuracy and speed, helping you to work smarter and on the areas the student specifically needs.

An example question and directions are included at the start of the test.

I have included a mark scheme at the end of the test. Each answer includes an explanations to help develop understanding.
