Magabala Books is Australia's longest established independent Indigenous publishing house. Based in Broome, WA, we work to develop, preserve and promote Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures. Teacher notes accompany our children’s and young adult titles, crafted by a teacher librarian. These notes are linked directly to the Australian Curriculum and the appendix section highlights how the texts meet—across year levels— relevant cross-curriculum priorities, general capabilities and content descriptors. They also offer a guide to themes, with a strong focus on Indigenous culture and writing style. All teacher notes come with questions to guide students through the text.
